Step back in time to the wartime era and find out what life was like in rural Canada, England and Germany. Our story is based on our grandmother’s kitchens and our passion for culinary history. During the start of COVID we opened up Gramma’s Wartime Kitchen on social media to show people that sometimes you had to live with less and make the most of it. We dabble in recipes that were used by our grandmothers and we test out ration cookbooks to see how bad and how good things were made during wartime given the limited supply of certain goods. We will bring along some wartime goodies for our audience to sample and share some of our vintage collection of kitchen tools and cookbooks. Come join us for a glimpse of the past that fed the greatest generation.
